Self-employed entrepreneur

Do you live in Houten, IJsselstein, Nieuwegein, or Lopik? And do you have your own business? Then you can contact the Self-Employed Persons Office of the municipality of Utrecht for financial assistance and debt counseling. WIL only offers debt counseling to individuals who are not self-employed.

You can contact the Self-Employed Persons Office of the municipality of Utrecht for information about or to apply for

  • Assistance for the self-employed (Bbz)
  • Income provision for older and partially disabled self-employed persons (IOAZ)
  • Debt counseling for self-employed individuals.

Important

Do not deregister your business with the Chamber of Commerce before you know where you stand. Wait until you have had your meeting with the Self-Employed Persons Office. If you deregister too early, you may no longer be eligible for a number of schemes.

Financial assistance for entrepreneurs during the coronavirus pandemic

The Temporary Bridging Measure for Self-Employed Persons (Tozo) scheme is coming to an end. Do you not have enough money to live on? If so, apply for a Bbz benefit from the Self-Employed Persons Office of the municipality of Utrecht.  BBZ benefits are a social minimum; for a single person, this is €1,024.76 excluding 5% holiday allowance, and for a family, this is €1,463.95 excluding 5% holiday allowance. At WIL, we know a lot about work, income, and debt counseling. By making a telephone appointment for a consultation, you will be put in touch with one of our consultants. They will be happy to help you. After receiving the contact form, we will call you back within three business days.

As an entrepreneur, you can come to us for, among other things:

  • assistance with payment arrangements for your fixed expenses
  • referral to aid organizations
  • insight into available (coronavirus) regulations
  • referral in connection with debts.
