Having someone else vote for you (proxy)
Are you unable to come to the polling station yourself on November 22, 2023? Then you can have someone else vote for you. There are two ways to do this, namely via:
- the proxy on your voting card;
- a written power of attorney.
The person who is voting may not accept more than two proxies per election. The person who is voting casts the vote(s) at the same time as their own vote.

Written power of attorney
Is a private power of attorney not yet possible? Then arrange for a written power of attorney.
- Download this form (Model L 8 'Request to vote by proxy') Also available at the town hall.
- Fill out the form
- Stuur het formulier naar ons op, ter attentie van team Verkiezingen <ADRES ORGANISATIE>.
- The petition must be received by the municipality no later thanFriday, November 17, 2023.
- If your request to have someone else vote for you is accepted, the person who will vote for you will receive a proxy certificate.
- Once the person who will vote on your behalf has received the authorization, you can no longer revoke it. You will then no longer be able to vote in these elections yourself.
