Marriage / registered partnership
You want Sloterburg or become registered partners in Sloterburg . Congratulations on this wonderful step! Register your marriage or partnership online. You can then provide all the information we need, such as your desired date, wedding location, and details of your witnesses. You can reserve a date up to one year in advance.
You both need DigiD for this online application. First, one partner logs in with DigiD. At the end of the form, the other partner logs in with DigiD to complete and approve the notification.

Number of guests
The extensive ceremony in the town hall's wedding room can accommodate 48 people. For short/simple ceremonies, there is room for 15 people. These numbers include the couple getting married or entering into a partnership, the witnesses, and the wedding official. Children of the bride and groom up to the age of 12 are not counted in the number of people, but all other children are counted. Tip: use Facetime, Skype, or other video calling methods. This allows guests who are not physically present to still follow your ceremony.

Choose which ceremony you want
You have three options. It is useful to consider what type of gathering (ceremony) you would like before filling out the online form. The various costs for the ceremonies can be found further down this page under the heading Costs.
Simple ceremony
This can be done at the City Shop in the morning from Monday to Wednesday. The ceremony lasts a maximum of 15 minutes. For a simple ceremony, the municipality will choose your wedding official. You will not have a meeting with the wedding official, but you will receive a short speech during the ceremony.
Extensive ceremony
This can take place at the town hall or at a location of your choice. You can let us know which wedding official you would prefer. You will receive a personal consultation and a speech at the ceremony. An extensive ceremony lasts a maximum of 30-45 minutes. There will also be time for taking photos and receiving congratulations.
Free marriage/partnership registration
A free marriage or civil partnership registration takes a maximum of 10 minutes. There is a waiting list of at least 10 months. The municipality chooses the wedding official and you will not receive a consultation or speech.
Choose a wedding venue
You can get married or register your partnership anywhere in Sloterburg. However, there are a number of rules that apply:
- You may only get married in an existing building.
- The building must be a public place where everyone is allowed to enter.
- The building must be a designated wedding venue. Is the place where you want to get married not yet designated? Then call us on 14 024.
Booking a wedding venue:
- Would you like to get married at City Hall or the City Shop? If so, you can indicate your preferred date on the online form. Please note: your choice is not yet final. We will contact you to let you know whether your choice is possible.
- Would you like to get married at a different location? If so, please first reserve the date and time with the company/organization of the location where you would like to get married. You can then fill in this information on the form.
