Ring road - redevelopment

From October through May, the Randweg will be undergoing redevelopment and will therefore have limited access. We expect the redevelopment to be completed by June 1, 2019.

Accessibility

From October 9, 2018, to May 2019, Randweg will be closed in the direction of Marktplein. Traffic heading toward Singel will still be possible. During this period, the east side of Randweg, which is the side of the city hall, will be renovated.

Buses

There are no buses running between Marktplein and Ondergang. Buses are diverted via Van Veltstraat and Mauritsweg.

Cyclists

Cyclists use the roadway. To ensure this is safe, there is one less lane available for cars.

Detours

There are several ways to detour.

From the Southwest:

  • Through the City Tunnel
  • Across the Main Bridge via the East Dike

From the southeast:

  • Over the Willemien Bridge via Straatweg and Singel
  • From Molenwerf and Houtsingel
