Parking of large vehicles
What is it?
- It is forbidden to park large vehicles on the road. This applies to trucks and coaches, for example.
- If you do want to park a large vehicle on the road, apply for an exemption from the municipality.
How does it work?
You need a parking waiver in the following cases:
- your vehicle is longer than 6 meters or higher than 2.4 meters
- you want to park Monday through Friday between 6 p.m. and 8 a.m. or on weekends
Note
If you have a camper, caravan or camper van that is longer than 6 meters or higher than 2.4 meters, you may park it on the road for a maximum of 3 days. You do not need to apply for an exemption for this.
What to do.
You request the exemption from the municipality. When doing so, please provide the following information:
- your name and address
- details of your vehicle
- the street where you want to park the vehicle
- date and time you want to park the vehicle
- Why you want to park your large vehicle on the road
How long does it take?
You will be notified within 8 weeks whether you will receive the waiver.
Objecting
Do you disagree with the municipality's decision? Then you can object within 6 weeks.
