Requesting personal data
What is it?
The municipality keeps personal data on all residents in the Personal Records Database (BRP). The municipality needs this data when, for example, you get married or when your passport expires. If necessary, the municipality may also share your data with other government agencies, such as the Tax and Customs Administration, the judiciary, or the police. Or with organizations such as pension funds and housing associations.
You can find out what information about you and your minor children is stored in the BRP by logging in to MijnOverheid.
What should I do?
- Via MyGovernment you can view your own data or that of your minor children:
- Log in with your DigiD.
- Then click on "Personal details" at the top of the page. You can view your details under the heading BRP.
Additional information
- If you are looking for someone else's personal data from the BRP, you must inform the municipality why you need the data.
- The person you are looking for must give their consent for this.
- The municipality determines whether you will receive the requested information:
- You will only receive information if you have a personal, non-commercial reason.
- You can only obtain standard information, such as name, date of birth, address, place of residence, or date of death.
- You will not receive any information if the person has requested confidentiality regarding his or her personal data.
- If the municipality rejects your request for information, you can lodge an objection within six weeks.
Access to your personal data?
You can use this form to request access to, correction, or deletion of your personal data held by the municipality Sloterburg. We will only use your data to process your request. We will not retain it for longer than necessary.
