Request a marketplace

What is it?

If you want to have a place at the market, you must apply for a market permit from the municipality. This applies to all types of markets:

  • daily market
  • weekly market
  • annual fair (e.g., a Christmas market)

How does it work?

You can apply for a place at the market if you:

  • is registered with the Chamber of Commerce.
  • have legal capacity.

Permanent place

The waiting time for a permanent place varies depending on the market and sector. If you are on a waiting list, you must renew your place each year.

Daycare

Every market day, the market supervisor assigns daily spots to temporary vendors for each sector. Daily spots are fixed spots that become available when a vendor with a fixed spot is absent. The municipality will immediately issue you with a permit that allows you to register as a temporary vendor.

What should I do?

You apply for the permit at the municipality. In your application, indicate which market you want to attend and what you will be selling.

What do I need?

  • a valid form of identification
  • proof that you are insured against legal liability during your market trading

Additional information

A market place permit is different from a stall permit. You need a stall permit if you want to set up a stall in a public outdoor location, such as on or along a public road.

The permit is personal to you, but it is transferable. If you know an entrepreneur who wants to take over your spot, you can ask the municipality for permission to transfer your permit.
