Disabled parking permit
What is it?
With a disabled parking permit, you can park in disabled parking spaces in all EU countries, Liechtenstein, Norway, Iceland, and Switzerland. You must comply with local parking regulations.
There are 3 types of cards, including:
Driver card
- You will be unable to walk more than 100 meters independently for at least six months. This includes with aids such as a cane or crutches.
- You can drive yourself.
Passenger ticket
- You will be unable to walk more than 100 meters independently for at least six months. This includes with aids such as a cane or crutches.
- You cannot drive a car yourself. You need the constant assistance of a driver.
You can also apply for a combination of a driver card and a passenger card. For example, if you are permanently confined to a wheelchair.
Settings card
The management of an institution where people with disabilities reside can apply for a disabled parking permit for the transportation of residents.

How does it work?
- The parking permit is registered to a specific person.
- The parking card is not linked to a specific license plate. You can use the card for any car.
- The parking permit is valid for a maximum of 5 years.
