Handicapped parking pass
What is it?
A disabled parking permit allows you to park in disabled parking spaces in all EU countries, Liechtenstein, Norway, Iceland and Switzerland. However, you must follow local parking rules.
There are 3 types of cards, including:
Driver's card
- You cannot walk more than 100 meters independently for at least six months. Not even with aids, such as a cane or crutches.
- You can drive your own car.
Passenger card
- You cannot walk more than 100 meters independently for at least six months. Not even with aids, such as a cane or crutches.
- You cannot drive a car by yourself. You constantly need the help of a driver.
You can also apply for a combination of a driver card and a passenger card. For example, if you are permanently confined to a wheelchair.
Settings Card
The board of an institution where people with disabilities reside may apply for a disabled parking permit for the transportation of residents.

How does it work?
- The parking ticket is in a person's name.
- The parking card is not by license plate number. You can use the card for any car.
- The parking pass is valid for up to 5 years.
What to do.
- You apply for the disabled parking permit from the municipality.

- Your valid proof of identity
- A recent passport photo that meets the passport photo requirements
- Proof of medical examination
