(Level A)

All non-textual content presented to the user has a text alternative that serves an equivalent purpose, except for the situation described below.

Time-based media

If non-textual content is time-based media, then text alternatives provide at least a description of the non-textual content.

If an image contains important information, you must ensure that people who cannot see the image can receive that information via a text alternative.
